Curating Degree Zero Archive, a traveling archive as an exhibition and a discursive space, initiated by Dorothee Richter and Barnaby Drabble, in Basel the collaborator was Annette Schindler.
The archive is re-interpreted and expanded at each venue with the host institutions. It started with about 50 dossiers of curators, artist-curators, curatorial groups and digital space curators. It ended with 100 positions, growning too big and too heavy to be moved any more. The content is now part of the library at the Zurich University for the Arts.
The different installations of the archive are intended to function as social space, as a hub around and within which we programmed associated live-events. In its original form it was also a website with link lists to the mentioned projects. One can understand the online and printed magazine OnCurating as a further development of the archive.
