Gasthaus zum Baeren / Museum Baerengasse
Bärengasse 22, 8001 Zürich: The premises of Museum Bärengasse are used as a platform for discussion and exhibition rooms, as well as curatorial studios. With different activities, formats and a series of interdisciplinary co-operations, Curating Your Context did create a room in the middle of the financial district that is at the same inviting and experimental, and that offers an opportunity to present new formats of exhibition and communication.
Additionally Curating your Context sees a central task in the initiation of context related working: What is the context? How is it approached it? What does it mean to work with relationships with a context? How are communities integrated and where, and in what way is this revealed in the work.
Dorothee Richter as advisor and artistic director, Miriam Bayersdörfer assistant, students and young curators act as curators for the respective projects, a curatorial collectives with hierarchy.
